What we sell
Small samples decanted by hand from bottled fountain pen ink, so you can try a colour before buying a full bottle.
How a sample is filled
Every vial is filled by hand from a sealed bottle bought new from the maker or their distributor, on a wiped bench, with a fresh single-use syringe for each ink. Nothing is watered down, mixed, or topped up from another bottle. What is on the label is what is in the vial.
What the vial can and cannot promise
Ink is a chemistry the maker built for the glass bottle it was sold in. Ours travels in a screw-cap plastic vial instead, which is what makes a one millilitre sample possible and also what changes the conditions. A vial left for months loses a little water to the air, which leaves the ink darker and thicker, and some inks shift colour on top of that. We make neither the ink nor the vial, so we cannot stand behind how a sample ages: use it within three months, keep it capped and out of sunlight, and judge a colour from a fresh vial rather than a forgotten one. Storing it is set out on the vial page.
Your pen is your risk
Some inks ask more of a pen than others. Shimmer, iron gall, permanent and heavily pigmented inks all want more washing out, and the same ink can behave differently in two pens. Filling your own pen from a hand-decanted sample is your decision. We are responsible for getting you an intact, correctly labelled vial of the ink named on it; we are not responsible for a stained converter, a clogged feed, a marked desk, or damage to a pen or anything else the ink reaches. If an ink needs care we know about, it is written on its page.
Whose names these are
Diamine, Dominant Industry, KWZ, Noodler's, Pilot and Sailor and every other maker named on this site own their names and their inks. the ink-credible store decants and resells independently: not affiliated with them, not authorised by them, not endorsed by them. Their names appear here because it is how you find the colour you are looking for.
Prices
Prices are in Indian rupees. Delivery is added in your tray and shown at checkout before you pay. Prices on the site may change; the price of your order is the one on the checkout page when you paid it.
How an order is made
An order is made when your payment goes through at checkout, or, for cash on delivery, when you place it. Every vial is decanted after that, so on the rare day a listed colour cannot be filled we will tell you and refund it, or the whole order if you would rather.
Payment
Through Razorpay, by UPI, card or netbanking, and we post once Razorpay confirms the payment. Or cash on delivery, for a fee shown at checkout: India Post brings the parcel and you pay the postman. Please choose it only for an order you will accept; a refused parcel costs us delivery both ways, and we may ask for payment in advance on your next order.
Handling ink
Fountain pen ink is not food, and it stains almost everything. Keep it away from children and pets, and away from anything you like the current colour of. What happens to your desk after the parcel is open is between you and your desk.
Returns
Covered separately on the returns page, which forms part of these terms.
Law, changes and contact
